Subtitles for the Introduction - 09/06/2018 -
We decided to add subtitles in the introductory cinematic of our game, The longest was to find a good way to do and find the right timings for each piece of dialogue. The animation itself was quite simple and repetitive. I decided to add black outlines so that the rendering was better, choose the size, the placement on the screen and the moment it appears and disappears.

Music settings - 05/06/2018 -
The music was alone so far in the game scene and we decided to change that: Now at the end of each cinematic, a different music starts, more rhythmic and more stressful than the previous one. All this is handled by the audio manager whereas before the music was not managed being the only one. Thanks to that the player will probably be less bored, and in addition to the clock, he will have a second indicator that will show him his progress in the game!

Add some features and fournitures - 02/05/2018 -
For this second oral, the design of our game and its overall appearance has greatly evolved! We move from empty rooms that contain only keys to rooms filled with new assets and pickups. The pickups (keys, hammers, flashlight...) were fully modeled by us, only a few sets of objects do not belong to us for the sake of time and also because we preferred to dwell on the gameplay of the game rather than the many objects filling. The doors have also changed design as expected, they go from simple rectangles to doors a little more detailed (finally!). Blood stains have also been added as textures on the walls and some floors to reinforce the horror side of our game.

We solved some problems including the fact that the lamp turned itself on and changed orientation when it encountered other objects. We also added a battery system, the player will have a limited time of use of the lamp, adding a stress effect on the player. We also made the light cast shadows when it encounters an obstacle.

Flashlight 29/04/2018 -
Operation of the flashlight that will be used in the first room of our game. It was necessary to adjust its position with respect to the point of view of the player as well as to add a source of light, to adjust it with the angle of the lamp then to code a way to turn it off and on again in the game.

First kinematic 30/04/2018 -
A cinematic introduction has been added! With the voices of Gauthier and Ilona to play the two protagonists of our history. We thus set a starting context, concise enough to be both clear but mysterious. The player is therefore launched in this plot after the kidnapper of our main heroine has explained the rules of his unhealthy "game". This cinematic was realized with the animator of Unity, the images that we see there are therefore the images of the game directly. We do not see any of the characters because the player is directly immersed in an FPS view. But do not detail this kinematic to leave you the surprise.

The batman 25/04/2018 -
Modeling of a bat on Blender which will serve for the third and last room of our game. Simple shapes because it will appear only during a fast movement, nevertheless the modeling of the wings was the most difficult. We only have to add a texture and animate the object.

Sound effects 21/04/2018 -
The game did not have any music or sound effects and so a fill was necessary
For now the main theme of the menu and the game have been found, and integrated with the different scenes in Unity. In addition was added a special music for the game mode "discovery", more friendly and lighter than the classic game mode. A SoundManager has also been created which will manage all the sound effects, especially for the insertion of the sound of doors creaking when opened. This manager will greatly facilitate the management of all other upcoming sound effects.

The menu 31/03/2018 au 02/04/2018 -
The menu was simple and functional for a few specific buttons like the options and the one opening the game. Updates had to make all the buttons functional (settings, explorer, multi etc.).
After these three days of work, everything is functional: the menu option is a real menu option to adjust some parameters, and the main menu provides access to all aspects of the game. The font and colors have been changed to enrich the menu and make it more consistent with the game world.
